I have often mentioned in the past that personally, I consider one of the best rewards a producer can receive is acknowledgement from the consumer.
At the “Festival Ellada feast-flavors spring 2014” which took place at Technopolis Gazi hosted by Athinorama, the public voted for the best products that they tasted.
The participation was unbelievable, (over 3500 ballots) and the choices of products were great.
The first 10 products were announced amongst hundreds of products voted, whereby Sakellaropoulos Organic Estates were honored for their bio-functional product Gourmet Olives Portokalenies
A very big thank you goes out to all those who voted for us and our products, and please take note that this particular product has been honored in 2013 with a Gold Award at the 3rd Competition for Table Olives in Greece and with a Gold Star at the Great Taste Awards 2013 in London, while it has been honored with the label for Slow Food Movement 2012 &2013.
Please allow me to add that the source of inspiration for the creation of this product, is our homeland Sparta, since the combination of olives and oranges has its roots in the gastronomic “Lakonia of the past and forgotten age, back when the everyday need for nutrition led the people of this area to discover ways to create “bio-functional” products…!
