A great and honorable distinction for Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms at the international olive oil competition TERRAOLIVO 2018, which is the second top olive oil competition worldwide, based on the international standards and ranking from the international EVOOWR , with an evaluation of 9/10.
It took place in Jerusalem, Israel, from the 12th until the 14th of June 2018, where hundreds of olive oil samples participated from 20 different countries such as Spain, Italy, Tunisia, Turkey, Portugal, Israel, Greece, Argentina, the U.S.A., Uruguay, Peru, etc.
Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms were honored with a great award from the expert panel tasters of the competition TERRAOLIVO for their limited edition olive oil Majestic flavored blend evoo.
“For us, it is a great and special award” says George Sakellaropoulos, “because it is given from expert olive oil panel tasters coming from different countries worldwide at the TERRAOLIVO international competition, which is considered one of the top competitions worldwide.”
This particular award for Majestic Flavored Blend Evoo, which circulated this year for the first time, is the third consecutive award from three consecutive participations in international olive oil competitions for 2018.
The first award for Majestic blend evoo gourmet was received from Tokyo, Japan in April at the OLIVE JAPAN International evoo competition 2018 with a silver award, the second award came in May from the city of Paestum, in the region of Campania, Italy, at the international olive oil competition ΕVOO IOOC 2018 (EVOO International Olive Oil Contest), where Majestic blend evoo limited edition was honored with a gold award.
The combination of all these awards render Majestic blend evoo flavored one of the most multi awarded Greek flavored olive oils in the world for 2018, while this particular award results in the 85th international award for Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms, which is a unique record of awards for a Greek producer.
Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms are located near the town of Sparta, at the foot of the Taygetus mountain range, where Koroneiki and Kalamata variety olives are cultivated, two of the best varieties of their kind. The cultivation is organic and certified from the certified inspection organization BIO HELLAS as of 1992. These olives are the raw material used for the production of organic olive oil with low acidity.
The inspirator and soul of the company is the Spartan Mr. George Sakellaropoulos, who started Sakellaropoulos Organic Farming over 24 years ago.
