A prestigious distinction was noted in Copenhagen, Denmark, for Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms, with 100% absolute success percentage, in the recognized Scandinavian International Olive Oil Competition 2024.
The international competition Scandinavian IOOC is an innovative concept for evaluating olive oils that are at the highest quality levels worldwide, aiming to present them to markets looking for exceptional quality olive oils, setting extremely strict criteria and gathering a large team of internationally recognized tasters and judges for this purpose.
Each year, the international competition Scandinavian IOOC is held in a different Scandinavian capital. For 2024, it was held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 18 to 22 May, with great interest from the international olive sector. Hundreds of olive oils from many olive producing countries participated with a very high level of quality.
The tasting of the olive oils in the Scandinavian IOOC is carried out by specialized olive oil tasters (expert panel tasters) of international prestige and from many countries of the world, exclusively with the blind tasting method.
After the preliminary analysis of each olive oil, the panel of expert judges conducts an individual assessment of each olive oil sample in multiple phases, in order to conclude at the final ranking of the olive oils and the overall score.
On 22/05/2024, the announcement of the results of Scandinavian IOOC 2024 took place. Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms were honored with 7 awards in total in an equal number of olive oil participations, achieving 100% absolute success rate.
